SERMON: GOD IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN, BY EVANGELIST EMMANUEL OBAFAIYE

Isa 9:6-7

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

WHO IS IMMANUEL

 

WHATSOEVER YOU DO TO THE LEAST OF MY BRETHREN IS UNTO ME.  THE LEAST OF MY BROTHER IS ME.

Acts 5:1-4

5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart TO LIE TO THE HOLY GHOST, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? THOU HAST NOT LIED UNTO MEN, BUT UNTO GOD.KJV

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, SHEW US THE FATHER, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known ME, Philip? HE THAT HATH SEEN ME HATH SEEN THE FATHER; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.KJV

THE GODS HAVE COME IN THE LIKENESS OF MAN

Acts 14:8-11

11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.KJV

8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:

9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: THE SECOND MAN IS THE LORD FROM HEAVEN.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.KJV

FIRST MAN IN THE LIKENESS OF GOD

SECOND MAN GOD IN THE LIKENESS OF MAN

LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU

Phil 2:5-7

5 LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 WHO, BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:KJV

LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, YOU ARE IN THE FORM OF GOD BUT MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN, THE SAME MIND WAS IN CHRIST JESUS HE THOUGHT IT NOT ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD.

GREAT MYSTERY OF GODLINESS GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH

1 Tim 3:16

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.KJV

28 So ought men to love their wives AS THEIR OWN BODIES. He that loveth his wife loveth HIMSELF.

29 For no man ever yet hated HIS OWN FLESH; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, AND THEY TWO SHALL BE ONE FLESH.KJV

HIS WIFE  HIMSELF – WE ARE HIMSELF

JOINED UNTO HIS WIFE - THEY ARE ONE – WE ARE JOINED UNTO HIM WE ARE ONE

Acts 17:6

GEN 1:1 THE EAERTH WAS WITHOUT FORM AND VOID AND GOD SAID LET THERE BE LIGHT AND THERE WAS LIGHT

THEY CHANGED THEIR MINDS - HE IS A GOD PAUL

Acts 28:6

6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.KJV

BY FAITH

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO GOD

Matt 19:26

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, WITH MEN this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.KJV

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVE

Mark 9:23

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH.KJV

SO HE THAT BELIEVES IS NO LONGER A MAN BUT GOD, BECAUSE ALL THINGS ARE NOT POSSIBLE TO MAN.

BY SALVATION

HE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT

John 3:6

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT.KJV

BECAUSE THOU MAKETH THYSELF EQUAL TO GOD AS SON OF GOD

John 10:30

30 I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.KJV

John 10:33

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that THOU, BEING A MAN, MAKEST THYSELF GOD.KJV

THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS. THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT GOD CAN BE A MAN AND AT THE SAME TIME STILL BE GOD.

John 1:12-13

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD.KJV

BY THE COMMUNION

EAT MY FLESH AND DRINK MY BLOOD ABIDE IN ME AND I IN HIM=ONE

John 6:56

56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, DWELLETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM.KJV

I IN THE FATHER AND THE FATHER IN ME WE ARE ONE

WHY WALK YE AS MEN

1 Cor 3:3

3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, ARE YE NOT CARNAL, AND WALK AS MEN?KJV

LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU

Phil 2:5-7

5 LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus:

WHEN MEN ARE CAST DOWN I AM NOT A MAN THERE IS A LIFTING UP FOR ME.

I CAN NEVER SEE CORRUPTION.

THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY WHICH ARE GODS.

1 Cor 6:20

20 For ye are bought with a price: THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY, AND IN YOUR SPIRIT, WHICH ARE GOD'S.KJV

IN YOUR BODY, IN YOUR SPIRIT AND THEY ARE GOD’S.

THIS IS NOT A MAN’S BODY BUT GOD’S. WHOEVER OWNS THIS BODY IS GOD.

I AM IN THE FORM OF GOD BUT MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN, JUST AS CHRIST I THINK IT NOT ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD.

THEREFORE I GLORIFY GOD IN MY BODY IN MY SPIRIT WHICH ARE GOD’S.
