UNVEILING THE REALITY OF OBEDIENCE REWARD; CASE STUDY ABRAHAM, SAUL, DAVID, MARY, JONAH AND PHILIP.
UNVEILING THE REALITY OF OBEDIENCE
REWARD; CASE STUDY ABRAHAM, SAUL, DAVID, MARY, JONAH AND PHILIP.
OBEDIENCE
Genesis 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the
LORD, for because thou hast done this
thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
Genesis 22:17 That
in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as
the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy
seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
TRANSGENERATIONAL BLESSING.
IRREVOCABLE BLESSING THESE AND MANY MORE
ARE REWARDS OF OBEDIENCE.
1 Samuel 28:18 Because
thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath
upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.
1 Samuel 28:17 And the LORD hath done to him, as he
spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it
to thy neighbour, even to David: 28:18
Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce
wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this
day. 28:19 Moreover the LORD will also
deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt
thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel
into the hand of the Philistines.
GOD WILL DETHRONE THE DISOBEDIENT
AND ENTHRONE THE OBEDIENT. ENTHRONEMENT IS A REWARD OF OBEDIENCE.
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great
delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than
sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of
witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast
rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
John 2:1 And the third day there was a marriage in
Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2:2 And both Jesus was called, and his
disciples, to the marriage. 2:3 And when
they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I
to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
2:5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
WHEN YOU OBEY GOD YOU CANNOT
ESCAPE HONOUR, GLORY AND MIRACLES. THOSE WHO HONOUR ME I WILL HONOUR. TO OBEY GOD IS TO HONOUR HIM.
John 2:9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted
the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants
which drew the water knew;) the governor
of the feast called the bridegroom,
2:10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good
wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast
kept the good wine until now. 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed
THE BEGINNING OF MIRACLE START
WITH OBEDIENCE TO GOD . GLORY IS A DERIVATIVE OF OBEDIENCE.
Jonah 1:1 Now
the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 1:2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city,
and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. 1:3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish
from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship
going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go
with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. 1:4 But the LORD sent out a great wind into
the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like
to be broken.
Jonah 3:1 And
the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, 3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city,
and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. 3:3 So
Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now
Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the
city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall
be overthrown.
SPEED IS AN ACID TEST FOR CONFIRMING DIVINE GUIDE, IT IS A
REWARD FOR OBEDIENCE. AS SEEN IN PHILIP ALSO.
Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water,
the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and
he went on his way rejoicing.
CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER.
Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend
their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
